Your encryption key is the password that allows you to be the only one having access to the files you upload. It's a random string of words and numbers.

You will set it up during your first log in and we recommend creating a backup, be it written on a piece of paper safely stored away or in a password manager such as Clipperz.

Please note: As we don't have access to any of your information, we won't be able to restore your encryption key, should it ever get lost.
